In the early 1960s, while enlisted in the United States Air Force, Bob Ross discovered oil painting.
He learned the “wet-on-wet” technique, which allowed him to finish work in less than an hour.
He went on to become a teacher himself, eventually educating millions of people on the television show The Joy of Painting.
