Bode Miller, whose full name is Samuel Bode Miller, was born in Easton, New Hampshire, on October 12, 1977. Miller was born and reared in Franconia, a small town in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Parents, younger sister Kyla and brother Chelone, as well as other relatives. Up until the third grade, he was homeschooled, but following his parent’s divorce, he started going to public school.

More than any other American male skier, Bode Miller has won six Olympic medals in Alpine skiing. In 2005 and 2008, Miller won the men’s overall World Cup title. Miller began regularly competing in downhill events during this season, developing into a five-event skier on the World Cup circuit while keeping his position as a technical expert. Miller won his first World Cup competition on December 29, 2001, by winning the giant slalom at Val-d’Isère. Miller won the slalom the next day in Madonna di Campiglio.

In 2011, he won a downhill World Cup competition for the 33rd time overall. Due to knee surgery, Miller was unable to take part in the 2013 World Cup. He became the most decorated American skier in Olympic history after taking home a bronze medal in the super-G at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
