From 2016 to 2018, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson served as secretary of state for foreign and Commonwealth affairs. From 2008 to 2016, he served as mayor of London.

He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Henley from 2001 to 2008 before becoming the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in 2015.

At Eton College, Boris de Pfeffel Johnson attended school, and at Oxford’s Balliol College, he studied Classics. He was elected President of the Oxford Union in his last college in 1986.

Johnson served as The Daily Telegraph’s Brussels correspondent and later a political columnist. From 1999 to 2005, he served as editor of The Spectator.
