In the recently released, highly praised film Triangle of Sadness, Charlbi Dean co-starred. Variety has confirmed that she died on Monday at the age of 32 at a hospital in New York City from an unforeseen illness.
The upcoming performer was a co-star in Triangle of Sadness, which took home the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
The satirical dark comedy written and directed by Swedish director Ruben stlund, whose earlier works include Force Majeure and The Square, will debut in theatres in the US and the UK in October. Harris Dickinson and Woody Harrelson are the main actors.
Charlbi was engaged to model-turned-actor Luke Volker, who recently paid homage to Dean and her part in Triangle of Sadness in an Instagram post, adding that he “couldn’t be more proud” of her. Dean was also engaged to Luke Volker.
