Christopher J. Scarver is an American convicted killer, he was responsible for the deaths of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and murderer Jesse Anderson at the Columbia Correctional Institution in 1994. Christopher was born on July 6, 1969. He beat Dahmer and Anderson to death with a 20-inch (51-cm) metal rod that he had taken off of a piece of exercise gear in the prison gym. Due to the murders, Christopher received two additional life terms.

Christopher Scarver was born and raised In Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the second child, out of five children. After leaving James Madison High School in the eleventh grade, he was sent out from his mother’s home due to his alcoholism. He had previously attended James Madison High School. Scarver was employed by a Wisconsin Conservation Corps labor program as a trainee carpenter. After completing this program, he was assured by his boss, Edward Patts, that he would be hired full-time, but Patts was fired. Therefore Scarver’s full-time position never materialized. Scarver started drinking heavily as a result of the incident and in his inebriated state, he started to hear people refer to him as the “chosen one.” He was reported to have been suffering from messianic delusions and was given a schizophrenia diagnosis.

Christopher Scarver has just one kid, his name is Christopher Scarver Jr. His father Christopher Scarver was in jail, and serving murder sentence, before the birth of his son Christopher Jr.

Scarver Jr. Is only one semester away from graduating from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, with a degree in sociology. He will soon become the first person in his family to earn a college degree, this was possible due to a two-year scholarship from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Creative Corrections Education Foundation. Which is for students whose parents work throughout the jail justice system.
