Rorex has been recognized for the change she brought to the office of the county clerk, in addition to her work and allyship with the LGBTQ community.
Rorex resigned as Boulder County clerk in 1977, but she continued to work and help underserved communities throughout her life, even though she never ran for public office again.
She passed away in Longmont, Colorado on June 19, 2022, at the age of 78.
