The famous Queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Cleopatra ruled as a political manipulative leader from 51 to 30 BC and died by suicide in 30 BC. Cleopatra identified herself with Macedonian Greek general Ptolemy I Soter and companion of Alexander the Great. Of which she was related to its founder as well. The Egyptian Queen was born Cleopatra VII Philopator even though she was well known as Cleopatra.

 

Cleopatra’s family: husband

The controversies surrounding Cleopatra’s marriage life is not private even as she is known to have been involved in several relationship affairs with Ptolemy XIII Theos, Philopator Ptolemy XIV and among others, several sources have also revealed that, Roman general and statesman, Mark Antony was her last lover even as she loved him greatly.

Cleopatra left behind three vibrant children namely, Cleopatra Selene II, Alexander Helios and Ptolemy Philadelphos, who are her well known successors.
