Marvin Lewis Jones Jr. was born on March 12, 1990, in Long Beach, California. He played college football at California, where he was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection. The Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Jones has experience with the Bengals, Jaguars, and Lions of Detroit. He was chosen for two Pro Bowls (in 2017 and 2018). He scored 10 touchdowns and had a career-high 1,104 receiving yards in 2017.

Jones is a large, athletic receiver with quick hands and strong speed. He has a reputation for making difficult receptions. He also has a terrific connection with his quarterbacks and is a skilled route runner.
