On an annual basis, Burrow’s contract sets a new standard, as he is set to earn an average of $55 million per season throughout this deal. It’s worth noting that while Burrow claims the title for the highest annual salary, Patrick Mahomes holds the record for the most total money in a deal, having signed a 10-year contract worth $450 million with the Chiefs back in 2019.
Despite a concerning non-contact calf injury during training camp, all indications suggest that Burrow will be ready to lead the Bengals in their Week 1 matchup against AFC North rivals, the Browns.
