Mike Day was the first person to enter a room measuring 12 by 12, where four terrorist leaders were lying in wait.
Mike Day killed all four terrorists in the room after the gunfight, but not before taking 27 shots to the body and being struck by grenade shrapnel. Day miraculously cleared the rest of the house, saved six women and children, and then left on his own to find a waiting helicopter that would take him to safety.
