In Tranmere, Cheshire, England, he was born to parents named Mary Savage and Patrick Grady. In the 1980s, Paul O’Grady, as he was more commonly known, became well-known in the gay community of London.

This came after Paul OGrady dropped his drag queen alter ego Lily Savage before the 2000s.Till his death at the age of 67 “unexpected but peacefully” on March 28, 2023, O’Grady had worked as a presenter for a number of radio and television shows, including The Paul O’Grady Show.
