Asher-Smith broke her British records in the individual events at the 2019 World Championships, taking home gold in the 200 m, silver in the 100 m, and silver in the 4100 m relay.

She was the first British woman to take home three medals at a World Championship when she was 24 years old. In the relay competition, she received prizes at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020.
