Francis Joseph, an English professional footballer, was born on March 6, 1960, and he died on November 18, 2022. Joseph, who was born in Kilburn, London, began his professional career with Wimbledon in 1980.

Joseph scored in his home Football League debut against Darlington after being substituted in. At the end of his first season, Joseph was recognized as the team’s “Player of the Year” after being a consistent member of Wimbledon’s first team.

Joseph moved to Brentford in the summer of 1982 for £40,000 after spending time on loan with Honka and JYP 77 in Finland.

He scored 50 goals in his first two seasons at Griffin Park before breaking his leg in September 1984 and sustaining a second injury during the second game of his comeback the following year.

Joseph was recruited by Sheffield United’s manager at the time, Dave Bassett, from Wimbledon on a free transfer in July 1988. Joseph made another great start and scored in United’s league debut in August 1988 against his old team, Reading. Sadly, over the course of the game, he was hurt.
