Earl William Hebner, a retired American professional wrestling referee, was last employed with All Elite Wrestling. He was born on May 17, 1949. He is best known for his tenure from 1988 to 2005 as the senior referee for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Hebner (together with his identical twin brother, Dave was a key player in 1988 The Main Event card’s main event, in which AndrĂ© the Giant controversially defeated Hulk Hogan to win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, and in the 1997 Survivor Series’ infamous “Montreal Screwjob.” The McMahon-Helmsley Faction and The Alliance’s conflicts were among the stories he took part in.

Hebner was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2015 and served as the senior referee for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2005 to 2017.

Earl Hebner joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and was mostly used for title matches and main events.

Dave Hebner, the identical twin of referee Earl Hebner, who was a member of one of the 1980s’ most well-known angles, has died.

Age-wise, he was 73.

His internet pals were the first to break the news. Hebner had Parkinson’s Disease and had been ill for a while. Many followers were horrified when a post from May 2022 showed a visibly ill and wheelchair-bound Hebner accompanied by friends.
