The United Kingdom does not celebrate thanksgiving because no one in the UK needed to be grateful for their new country or pleasant ocean voyage, American Thanksgiving is not observed there but they celebrate the harvest festival. However, most churches and schools continue to commemorate the harvest portion of it. Because the majority of us do not work in fields, few people celebrate the harvest, even though it is the source of all the food we purchase from stores.
