Dolphy, born as Rodolfo Vera Quizon, was born in Tondo, Manilla in Philippines on 25 July 1928 to Melencio Espinosa Quizon and Salir de la Rosa Vera. He was a comedian and an actor with two other stage names; Pidol and Golay.

He was widely known in his country as the “King of Comedy” due to his talent as a comedian.

Dolphy starred in his debut movie Dugo at Bayan, which is interpreted in English as I Remember Bataan with Fernando Poe Sr. He was just nineteen years old when he acted in the movie.

Dolphy, in his lifetime, did not get married to any woman. He had six relationships of which he made every relationship public. Out of his six relationships, he had eighteen children.

Dolphy Cause of Death

Dolphy died at the age of 83 on July 10, 2012, in Makati, Philippines. He was reported to have suffered from multiple organ failures which were a result of complications from pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute renal failure.
