Adame is not the first TV meteorologist to be fired because of pornographic images. In 2006, Jamey Singleton, a meteorologist for NBC affiliate WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia, was fired after a naked picture of him exiting a shower appeared on another person’s MySpace page.
Prior to departing NY1, Adame worked there as a meteorologist for about four years.
Adame is once more asking a Manhattan judge to order Unit 4 Media, Ltd., the owners of the online forum, to name the people in charge of the NSFW content leak that cost him his job.
The website is not mentioned in Adame’s application. According to LPSG.com, “When you obtain an LPSG subscription, it will appear on your bank statement as Unit 4 Media.”
Adame, a host on NY1’s Mornings on 1 during the workweek, declined to respond through email and forwarded The Daily Beast to his lawyer, Jeremy Klausner.
A representative for Charter Communications, the parent firm of NY1, declined to comment or give a particular date for Adame’s termination.
