Frank Drake, an American astronomer was born in Chicago on May 28, 1930. As a researcher, Frank Drake served as the director of the Arecibo radio telescope facility, among other things, and made numerous contributions to radio astronomy. However, Drake is most well-known for an equation bearing his name and his subsequent participation in SETI initiatives. Also, his calculation represented the first notable effort to calculate the likelihood of intelligent alien life.

Drake completed a PhD in radio astronomy, and he continued to specialize in astronomy throughout his academic career. Drake assisted in transforming the observatory from a military research centre to a scientifically oriented building, and he eventually served as its director.

Frank Drake Cause Of Death

It is established that former astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake’s cause of death was of natural cause. Frank Drake died surrounded by his family on September 2, 2022, at the age of 92 years. Funeral arrangements as well as burial service are pending.
