“Funny Face is also human after all”

Veteran music producer and entertainment pundit, Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly called Fredyma, has written on how he has known Funny Face over the years.

In a messaged dubbed “KNOWING FUNNY FACE”, he wrote:

“I have known Benson Boateng(Funny Face) for a long time. The first being when he was living in Adabraka, then as a comedian on Adom fm,an audition at tv3, his breakthrough in the comedy world when Charter House put him on their stage some 11 years ago.

Fiifi Banson, formerly of Peace fm came to manage him and others followed. I quite remember when Adebayo dashed him the Range Rover, he drove all the way to Pokuase to pick me up and asked me to bless him.

It is rather unfortunate that, he has not fared well in his marriage life since divorcing his first wife and currently what he’s going through.
He is a public figure so a lot of people expect good things from him in all activities of his life. It shouldn’t be so! He is human after all. Seriously, if i were him, i wouldn’t put my marriage bad stuffs in the public domain but WHOM MAM I? He might be going through emotional, psychological or a mental health issue.

It’s alleged that, he is on drugs. He should refrain from them if it is indeed true. Observing his behavioral patterns and his constant rants and insults of late, it is very unfortunate. He holds the keys of his success in life to himself ONLY.

Marriage problems are solved within the family first before anyone comes in. If it is not working, separation must be the first option followed by, divorce when it becomes so extreme that, both parties cannot resolve their issues.

In our jurisdiction, we think marriage should continue no matter how unpleasant and unhealthy it becomes. The reason why a lot are abused. There is more to life.

We often say, errrr, because of the children, the marriage should continue. A lot have died from these attributes. Incompatibility in marriage is the reason why some of our women ends up in the psychiatry homes and some men also die early.

Funny Face will not be the only one going through such a situation but, if he was able to shoot his dog in the presence of his current wife, then she the wife should be careful. Coming events cast their shadows.

The face can be funny,but this marriage is not funny in the face of the public. I wish him well.”
