It is an undeniable fact that Nigerian music has played a frontal role on the continent. The likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade are all known worldwide for their rich content and especially because their language is commercial globally.
Ghanaian artiste, Sarkodie, has stated countless times that he is not prepared to switch from Twi to any other language and that has become his trademark.
His tweet has attracted a lot of divergent views and opinions.
This what he wrote:
For Ghana music to take over African music again, Ghanaian artiste need to sing or rap more in English than in Twi, Nigerian’s are dominating cos others can relate and understand them better

Why is Sarkodie going more international than the other artistes in Ghana?

How many Nigerian rappers has made it internationally than @sarkodie who raps in his native language? Stop this unnecessary comparison because lagos alone is bigger than Ghana
