President Akufo-Addo has promised Ghanaians a very huge undertaking which will be equivalent to Jesus feeding five thousand with three loaves of bread and two fishes.

In his address to the nation last night, the ever-promisingNana Akufo-Addo admitted the gaps in the health sector of Ghana that have been left unfilled by past and continuing governments.

According to him, COVID-19 has taught him to prioritize the health and safety needs of Ghanaians above any parochial cheap political agenda.

Therefore, he announced that there are 88 districts in Ghana without district hospitals and additionally 6 regions lack regional hospitals.

So, President Akufo-Addo pledged to see to the construction of 88 districts and 6 regional hospitals before 2020 comes to an end.

“There are 88 districts in our country without district hospitals; we have six (6) new regions without regional hospitals; we do not have five infectious disease control centers dotted across the country; we do not have enough testing and isolation centers for diseases like COVID-19.
We must do something urgently about this. That is why government has decided to undertake a major investment in our healthcare infrastructure, the largest in our history. We will, this year, begin the constructing of 88 hospitals in the districts without hospitals” President Akuf0o-Addo said.
