Hari Chand was a track and field athlete from India who specialized in long-distance running. He was born in the month of April 1953.

He is regarded as one of India’s best track and field athletes.

In Montreal, he represented India at the Olympic Games.

He finished eighth in the ten thousand meters in Montreal with a time of just under twenty-nine minutes.

He held the national record for 32 years before Singh broke it.

During the 1976 Olympic Games, he also set a national record for the 25-lapper, which he had held for 32 years.

With a time of 28:48.72, he finished ninth in the second heat of the 10,000-meter run at the 1976 Summer Games in Montreal.

The national standard for an Indian sprinter was established at this time, and Surendra Singh surpassed it 32 years later.

According to Khajan Singh, an Asian Games medalist swimmer, Hari Chand’s death was a huge loss for Indian sport.

Hari Chand Illness: What Health Condition Did Hari Chand Have?

Hari Chand’s exact illness has yet to be revealed.

The legendary Indian runner is said to have died on June 13th, 2022 in his hometown of Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

The cause of his death has yet to be determined; however, given the sudden nature of his death, some reports suggest that it could have been a heart problem.

Additional medical examinations and an autopsy will be required to determine the cause of death.
