Member of parliament for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has withdrawn himself from the Appointments committee of the 8th parliament of the Republic of Ghana.

Mr. Ablakwa Communicated communicated his decision to the Speaker of Parliament through a letter dated 30th March and his resignation means he will not be available for the vetting of nominees for Deputy ministerial positions.

He cited his reasons for the resignation is personal and on Principle after days of reflection and thoughtful considerations.

Even though the Young MP is yet to say what exactly is the personal reason bothering him that led to his sad decision, there’s a lot of speculations that the controversial approval of the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Ata is the main reason behind it.
