Katie Meyer, a student, and goalkeeper for the Stanford soccer team. She was 22 years old at the time of her demise. She also leads the group as captain. Meyer, a senior at the institution who studies history and international relations, Meyer participated in club soccer, the sport she liked as a child. She was even given consideration as a backup for the 2016 U17 World Cup.

Meyer, a native of Newbury Park, California, became well-known across the country in 2019 as she made two crucial saves to aid the Cardinals in capturing their third NCAA title.
During her four years at Stanford, Meyer twice held the position of team captain for the women’s soccer team. Additionally, she was twice named to the Pacific-12 Conference honor roll.

Meyer participated in 50 games over three seasons, earning 20 shutouts, 34 victories, and just 35 goals against. In 2019, Stanford won the national championship after going undefeated with 16 starts and 11 shutouts thanks in large part to her goaltending.

The medical examiner officer claims that Katie Meyer, a goalkeeper for Stanford’s soccer team, committed suicide. Only a few days after complaining of knee pain following her surgery on February 1, the popular 22-year-old was discovered dead in her dorm room with “self-inflicted wounds.” Exactly how she killed herself is unknown to the general public.
