He was convicted of eight crimes between 1997 and 2005.

He was sentenced to four years in prison after accepting a plea bargain for aggravated robbery in a home invasion in 2007.

Why was George Floyd pulled over?

On May 25, police officers in Minneapolis arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, after a convenience store employee called 911 and reported that Mr.Floyd had bought cigarettes with a forged $20 bill.

Mr. Floyd was found unconscious and pinned beneath three police officers seventeen minutes after the first squad car arrived, with no signs of life.
