She attended Tiffin Girls’ School in Kingston upon Thames and grew up in Esher. Her mother, Julie, died of throat cancer when she was sixteen years old.
Faulkner has spoken about her loss in a number of interviews with the media and magazines since then.
While waiting on the platform of a London tube station at the age of 16, Faulkner was approached by a modelling scout. She played Victoria Merrick in Holby City from 1999 till 2001, when she was stabbed to death in her own house by the father of a patient whose life she couldn’t save.
