Cromwell was born in Long Beach, California. When Cromwell was still a youngster, he received a scholarship to attend the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. He was the proprietor of a store in Hollywood where he dealt in the sale of photographs.

How did Richard Cromwell actor died?

In July 1960, Cromwell signed a contract with producer Maury Dexter for 20th Century Fox’s planned production of The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come. The film was set to star Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Dix, and Neil Hamilton, who eventually took Cromwell’s place in the film.

Cromwell signed the contract. Cromwell was ill and died of liver cancer on October 11, 1960, when he was 50 years old. Hollywood was the location of his death. He is buried in the Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California, which is located in the United States.
