Peter Shaw, whose birth name was Pullen, was a well-known English actor and producer. He was also Angela Lansbury’s second husband. His death occurred on January 29, 2003. After the conclusion of the Second World War, Shaw began his career as an actor and subsequently gained success as a studio executive.

Shaw served his country in the British Army during the Second World War. In the late 1940s, the Charles Feldman Agency secured a contract for him with the film studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Shaw’s apprenticeship with agent Paul Small was followed by an executive position at the studio and then a career with the William Morris Agency, where he represented a number of actors including Katharine Hepburn and Robert Mitchum, amongst others.

After working for MGM as an assistant head of production for a brief while in 1964, he went on to take a position with the William Morris Agency as an international business manager. Corymore Productions was founded by Shaw in the year 1987.

Later in his career, in addition to other films created specifically for television, he collaborated at Universal Studios with his two sons to create the television series Murder, She Wrote, which starred his wife, Angela Lansbury.
