Vicky Hamilton is a vocalist who has a deep understanding of music and is witty, sensitive, and seems decades ahead of her time. The majority of the excellent songs on this album were written by them jointly with Dave Mackay, and they sing them in an incredibly impressive jazz style.

Only two of the cuts here follow a traditional time pattern; the majority alternate between odd time changes of 5 and 7, with intervals that are best described as microtonal. Miss Hamilton wrote and sung one song, “Elephant Song,” to the best of her ability. It took six hours for (their record producer) to transcribe it.
