John Grenell, sometimes known as John Denver Hore, was a New Zealand country music singer and composer who lived from July 19, 1944, until July 27, 2022.

Following his third-place finish in the national television competition “Have a Shot,” Grenell received his first professional engagement in 1962, the same year he graduated from high school.

He made 16 more albums between 1963 and 1974, some of which went gold, after recording his debut record album for Joe Brown in 1963.

In Nashville, Tennessee, he served as the New Zealand delegate to the Grand Ole Opry in 1966 and 1974.

He performed at many TV shows, special events, and a Royal Command performance in addition to performing in America, Australia, Canada, England, South Africa, and other countries.

In 1966, he produced the local place name I’ve Been Everywhere version for New Zealand.

In 1989–1990, he returned to the entertainment scene with the release of the album “Welcome to our World,” which included a cover of “Welcome to My World.”
