The website’s webmaster is 36-year-old convicted felon Hunter Moore, a native of California. He was dubbed “the most reviled man on the internet” by Rolling Stone after launching his vengeance porn website.
During the website’s 16-month existence, Moore paid a hacker to compile private data from users, including pictures.
The FBI launched an investigation in 2012 after getting information from the victim’s mother.
In April of that year, the website was taken down, and in 2015, Moore admitted to felonies of aggravated identity theft and aiding in unauthorized computer access.
In November 2015, he was sentenced to two years and six months in jail.
He was also given a $2,000 fine. Hunter Moore was obviously forbidden from utilizing social media as well. In May 2017, he was released from prison, and he immediately started a music company.
