Who are Hunter Moore family?

Hunter Moore, a resident of Sacramento, California, is an American with a criminal record. In 2010, he established the vengeance porn website Is Anyone Up? which allowed users to post explicit pictures of other people without their consent, frequently along with their identities and addresses.

When prompted, he refused to take the pictures down. Moore called himself “a professional life ruiner” and compared himself to Charles Manson.

Throughout the 16 months that the website was live, Moore underlined numerous times that he was protected by the same laws that Facebook is subject to.

Moore also hired a hacker to enter the victims’ email accounts and seize private images for posting.

The FBI began investigating Moore in 2012 after receiving information from the mother of one of the victims.

Moore pled guilty to the charges of facilitating unauthorized computer access and aggravated identity theft in February 2015.

Moore was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, a $2,000 fine, and compensation of $145.70 in November 2015. In May 2017, he was released from prison.
