Growing up in Burbank, California, with his alcoholic mother, Kemper faced maltreatment. His acts of rape, murder, and beheading included six college students, his mother Clarnell, and her best friend.

David Weber, his half-brother who goes under the nickname David Weber to conceal his identity, has previously expressed concern that Kemper would be let go from custody.

He stopped to pick up female students who were hitchhiking, killed them, and then took their mutilated corpses home to perform sex acts on them. He confessed to his crimes and was found guilty of them in 1973 despite being 6 feet 9 inches tall and having a high IQ.

Is Ed Kemper Still In Jail?

On November 8, 1973, he was found guilty of first-degree murder and given a life sentence in a maximum security facility. Kemper is still a prisoner and is being held at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, where he is now being held and serving eight life sentences.
