Is gay marriage legal in Vietnam?

Same-sex relationships are not accepted in Vietnam through marriage, civil unions, domestic partnerships, unregistered cohabitation, or any other means.

The country passed a law in 2015 allowing transgender people to legally marry someone of the opposite gender and allowing those who have undergone gender reassignment surgery to be recognized as their preferred gender on official documents.
