American rapper and music producer Jermaine Lamarr Cole first gained notoriety as a rapper after the release of his debut mixtape titled “The Come Up” in early 2007.

He was born on a military base in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in the United States.

After signing to Jay-Roc Z’s Nation imprint in 2009 and deciding to continue his musical career, J. Cole went on to release two more mixtapes, “The Warm-Up” and “Friday Night Lights,” in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

J. Cole, a self-taught pianist, also works as a producer in addition to his rap career, handling the majority of the production for his own projects as well as singles for artists like Janet Jackson and Kendrick Lamar.

Cole has also created other businesses, such as Dreamville Records and the Dreamville Foundation, both of which are non-profits.

Is J. Cole Gay?
