Lisandro Martnez, born 18 January 1998, is an Argentine professional footballer who has currently been signed to play for the Premier League club Manchester United and the Argentina’s national team.
On May 17, 2019, Defensa y Justicia announced that a deal had been reached with Eredivisie club Ajax, subject to a medical. Ajax paid the Argentine club €7 million for Martnez’s transfer. Ajax announced on 20 May that the medical was completed, and that the transfer would take effect on 1 July. He agreed to a four-year contract with the option of an additional year. He didn’t officially join until July, but he played in friendlies with Quick ’20 and AaB in June. His competitive debut came in the 2019 Johan Cruyff Shield against PSV Eindhoven, which Ajax won with a two-goal victory. In his second Eredivisie game, a win over FC Emmen, he was named man of the match.
Martínez On September 28, he scored his first Ajax goal, opening the scoring in a 2-0 victory over FC Groningen at the Johan Cruyff Arena. He scored again against Utrecht in November, in a season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Martnez scored his third Ajax goal in a home win against RKC Waalwijk on September 20, 2020.
