Mason Reese, an American restaurant owner, and former child actor, appeared in a variety of 1970s television commercials for items such as Underwood Deviled Ham, Ivory Snow, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Post Raisin Bran.
After retiring from performing, Reese opened a variety of eateries in the New York City area. He was the proprietor of Manhattan’s now-defunct Lower East Side Pan-Latino eatery Paladar. Mason later opened Destination Bar and Grille on Avenue A in the East Village, which has since closed. He closed The Luxury Box, a sports bar he founded, in 2015.
Reese played himself in Brett Ratner’s debut feature, Whatever Happened to Mason Reese, a 1990 short film. Reese abandoned the production after one of his co-stars broke his leg while filming. Because looping was required, Reese’s voice was performed by a separate performer in the film.
