According to Sir Mo Farah, who was forced into domestic labour at the age of nine after being smuggled into Britain illegally under the identity of another child.

The four-time Olympic winner previously said that at the age of eight, he moved to join his father in London after his parents had taken the difficult choice to send three of their six children there in search of a better life.

The 39-year-old claims that he was transported to London by a stranger using an alias after escaping unrest in Somalia in a new BBC documentary titled The Real Mo Farah, which will screen on Wednesday.

My parents have never lived in the UK, despite what I’ve previously claimed. Farah apparently lived with a married couple who mistreated him when he first arrived in Britain.

His PE teacher at school, Alan Watkinson, saved him and helped him seek British citizenship using a fictitious name. In the documentary, the athlete also admits that a fake passport was created using the name of another young person—Mohamed Farah—by utilizing it on the athlete.
