He began his professional career in 2013 with the Spanish team Atletico Madrid. He spent time on loan in Mallorca and America before coming back to Atletico in 2015.
While playing with Atletico, he won the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Europa League in 2018.
Partey became the most expensive Ghanaian player of all time when he transferred to Arsenal in 2020 for £45 million (€50 million).
Three Africa Cups of Nations were held, in 2017, 2019, and 2021, with him representing Ghana. He received a spot in the 2018 CAF Team of the Year honours.
