The leader and founder of the people’s project (TPP), Kwame Asare Obeng has told the president to jail politicians who engage in inhumane corruption for the ten years he intends to jail those who refuse to wear Facemask.
In a short Facebook post, the controversial musician stated that, “Just last month, former appointees who were involved in the stealing of 4.000.000.00 Ghana cedis were sentenced to 6 and 5 years in prison but you want to jail people for 10 years for not wearing a nose mask”
He further added that, the president should rather Jail those criminals who disgraced the whole country in the Australia visa scandal rather for 10 years. According to him, “that is what is important”.
His comment follows a report that, Nana Addo has signed an executive Instrument (E.I 164) which allows for people who fail to wear face masks to be jailed for a period up to 10years.
As part of the measures taken by government to prevent the further spread of the virus, anyone found without a face mask as instructed by the president could equally be fined from GHC 12,000 to a maximum of GHC60,000.
