Over the course of his 20-year NFL career, Seau played for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. He played in the Pro Bowl 12 times, and his linebacking prowess made him one of the greatest linebackers to ever play in the NFL.
Seau had three kids and was married. Despite his brilliance on the field, Seau struggled with a number of psychological problems, such as depression and drug misuse. At the tragically young age of 43, Seau committed suicide in 2012. In the 1990 NFL Draft, the Chargers selected him with the fifth overall choice.
