As a Papua New Guinean rugby league football player, Olam has flourished and established a reputation. Olam plays centre for the Melbourne Storm of the National Rugby League (NRL). He additionally represents Papua New Guinea internationally.
He put up a solid performance for the Lae Snax Tigers in the Digicel Cup of the Papua New Guinea National Rugby League and was subsequently signed by the PNG Hunters for the 2016 Queensland Cup season.
