L.Q Jones born Justus Ellis McQueen Jr is reported to have died today in his Hollywood home from natural causes. The veteran actor and director was 94 years old with a career of over seven decades.

Jones is best known for his 1975 film A Boy and His Dog.

L.Q Jones started his acting career in 1955. He featured in over 60 films and more than 50 television shows including 1964 The Virginian, Hawaii Five – O, Incredible Hunk and Dukes of Hazzards to name a few.

L.Q. Jones last Movie

L.Q Jones’ last movie was A Prairie Home Companion, a musical comedy directed by Robert Altman. Jones starred with some big names like Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep and Lindsay Lohan. The film got positive reviews and was successful at the box office for a low-budget film.

Jones will be greatly missed for his rugged voice and western roles. He is survived by his two sons and a daughter.
