He made his first appearance in the movie Battle Cry in 1955. It was through this movie that he earned the name L.Q Jones as he portrayed that personality in the movie.
Aside Battle Cry movie, he also appeared in movies including Black saddle, Showdown, Tonada, Iron Angel, The silent service, the mask of zorro, Laramie, empire and many others.
He is a law graduate from University of Texas and a former professional football and baseball player.
His untimely death happened on July 9, 2022. He died at age 94 years.
