A man identified as Terri took to social media to narrate how a woman who has all the qualifications to get her a job got disqualified due to certain basic things she failed to do one of which included not wearing lipstick.

“Today, I interviewed a candidate on a Zoom call. It was for a highly-paid position in my Fortune 500 company. She had a stellar resume and came highly recommended.
There was something she didn’t have, though: Confidence.
She apologized 5 times during the interview for the background noise. She apologized 3 times for her children trying to get her attention. She even apologized for not having any makeup on.
Listen, you do NOT need to apologize for everything. For the most part, we all get it. We are right there with you.
You don’t have to be sorry for the background noise, and certainly not for your kids.
But you SHOULD be sorry about the makeup.
It’s not that hard to put lipstick on. It takes 2 seconds.
No amount of “credentials” make up for someone looking that washed-out in a video call.
