By popping the question to his longtime girlfriend Randi Siebenthal earlier in January 2022, the Kansas City linebacker made their relationship official. While they were on vacation in Las Vegas, he proposed to her. They eventually got married in July 2022 in a lovely ceremony with family and friends present.
As a junior, Chenal was named to the Big Ten Conference’s honorable mention team and the first team of All-Americans. As a senior, he received the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year award. Chenal participated in 11 games during his rookie season and finished with 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack.
