Leslie Roy Moonves, an American media executive, was the chairman and CEO of CBS Corporation from 2003 until his resignation in September 2018, which was brought on by several allegations of sexual harassment, assault, and abuse. He has been wed to TV celebrity Julie Chen since 2004.
He worked at CBS in a variety of executive positions from July 1995 to September 2018. He was a member of ZeniMax Media’s board of directors from 1999 until 2021. He later served as co-president and co-chief operating officer (COO) of the original Viacom, Inc., the legally earlier entity to CBS Corporation, from 2004 until the company’s split in December 2005. He assumed leadership of CBS in February 2016.
After many women accused Moonves of sexual assault, he resigned from his post as CBS chairman in September 2018. Moonves is accused of erasing tangible evidence of his unethical actions.
