“Lord Of The Rings” actor Ian Holm is reportedly dead at age 88-years.
British actor Ian Holm, who played Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the Rings worldwide movie as well as The Hobbit films, has died. He was aged 88.
Holm died peacefully in London, his agent revealed via a press statement.
“It is with great sadness that the actor Sir Ian Holm CBE passed away this morning at the age of 88,” they said. “He died peacefully in hospital, with his family and carer. Charming, kind and ferociously talented, we will miss him hugely.”
His agent added that Holm’s illness was Parkinson’s related.
