Madison Kyle Bumgarner, who was born in Hickory, North Carolina, United States, on August 1, 1989, is an American baseball pitcher, who plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Madison Bumgarner shared the league lead, thereby winning (15, with Levi Maxwell), the league lead in ERA (1.46), and the league lead in strikeouts (164), earning the South Atlantic League pitchers’ Triple Crown.

He started the 2009 campaign with the San Jose Giants of the California League, the Giants’ High-A affiliate. He was promoted up to the Connecticut Defenders of the Eastern League, the Giants AA affiliate, after five starts in which he went 3-1 with a 1.48 ERA and 23 strikeouts.

He defeated Eric Niesen on July 22 with a grand slam and earned the win in a 9-3 victory over the Binghamton Mets. He also had a 9-1 record with them in 20 games (19 starts), 1.93 ERA, and 69 strikeouts.
