Mads Pedersen, a professional racing cyclist from Denmark who competes on the UCI WorldTeam Lidl-Trek, was born on December 18, 1995.
The Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a Espaa are the three Grand Tours in which he has won stages as a sprinter. He became the first cyclist from Denmark to win the men’s World Championship Road race title when he won the men’s road race at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire, England.
Pedersen won the junior division of the 2013 Paris-Roubaix and later won the silver medal in the junior road race at the World Championships. Prior to turning professional, Pedersen won the Ghent-Wevelgem U23, the U23 Tour of Norway, and a stage of the Tour de l’Avenir.
He could only take Hugo Houle and Fred Wright with him. Pedersen easily dominated the sprint and captured the stage victory as the finish line drew near.
